Actifio Helps Cybric Deliver Security to Its Customers at the Speed of DevOps

With Actifio, Cybric’s Continuous Security Delivery Fabric® now delivers greater resilience and agility while enabling secure mobility of applications and data

BOSTON, February 13, 2017 – Actifio, the Enterprise Data-as-a-Service company, today announced a partnership with Cybric, provider of the first Continuous Security Delivery Fabric. By integrating Actifio Sky into its platform, Cybric enables digital enterprises to eliminate security vulnerabilities preemptively before applications are deployed. Customers, either on-premises or in the cloud, will be able to create powerful, yet flexible security policies to implement code and application security testing at every step in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
To avoid site performance disruption and possible data corruption, Application security scanning and penetration testing are typically performed in “passive mode’’ against a production environment. This is the model of trying to catch security holes after the application is already deployed, leaving significant security vulnerabilities for the business.
Cybric identifies and isolates the security issues as an integral part of the application development process ensuring that they are fixed before the application is deployed. Using Actifio’s Data-as-a-Service solution, Cybric automates the orchestration of creating the exact replica of the production datacenter environment and executes security scans against this “virtual copy” of the datacenter, as an integral part of the development process.

Actifio Sky serves as the core solution enabling push-button creation of a virtual datacenter, which is an exact replica of the production environment, in support of Cybric’s Continuous Security-as-a-Service platform. Actifio’s Enterprise Data-as-a-Service platform increases the speed of deployment and flattens the cost curve by delivering multiple data services in a single platform eliminating the traditional point tools, siloed architectures, and infrastructure.

“Cybric’s goal is to provide a platform that enables companies to address cyber security as a strategic initiative instead of deploying tactical point solutions,” said Ernesto DiGiambattista, Founder and CEO of Cybric. “Actifio’s industry-leading platform will help strengthen and enhance that framework to bring our customers the best low-risk, high quality applications to power their digital enterprise.”
“Cybric’s users span the range of maturity curve for the adoption of DevOps process, use of cloud resources and security integration,” said Ash Ashutosh, Founder and CEO of Actifio. “By leveraging Actifio’s Enterprise Data-as-a-Service platform, Cybric is able radically simplify the ability for digital enterprises to address security issues well before they are exposed to the outside world and deliver this capability at the velocity of DevOps.”
