Customer Success: A Common Thread Among Actifians

Actifio kicked off the Fiscal New Year exactly one week ago, after we closed our year Jan 31. I feel like it is important for me to share, what we are reminded of everyday – what makes Actifio one of a kind, a unicorn in the industry. I’m sure you’ve heard the saying – “There is no “I” in team”? Well here is one that may be new for some of you – “Coming together is a beginning, keeping it together is progress, working together is success” – Henry Ford

There are lots a of moving parts when building a relationship with customers and partners. Here is a snippet from a brief interview of two Actifians that work very closely with customers

Ryan Wheeler, Account Executive (NC,SC,TN)

Matt Pennington, Sr. Solutions Architect (Southeast)

When did you start at the company and what is one of the first things you learned about the company?

Pennington: I started November, 2014. The first thing I learned about the company was how fast we adapt to solve customer problems.

Wheeler: When I first started researching Actifio, I was amazed at the fact that the company was not selling a point tool or a collection of point tools (suite) as a solution.  Actifio is manically focused on selling a tailored solution to customer problems with the goal of making our customers successful. I started at the company 8 months ago and I am thrilled at the number of people here that personally wanted to make sure each customer is not just happy, but thrilled with the technology. From marketing to the sales & services team, everyone’s hard work is sewed into the fiber of the Actifio culture.

What do you think makes you successful in your role?

Pennington: My ability to adapt to change while articulating how Actifio solves our customers’ challenges.

Wheeler: Everyday I’m hustling.

You guys are always on the road traveling to customer meetings, events, and partner events. It must be tiring, what motivates you to do this?

Pennington: Service is a mindset, I am motivated to serve my customers and Actifio uniquely delivers value to our customers.

Wheeler: Meeting new people and understanding new ways to possibly help others is thrilling.

We invite many of your customers into the office for our EBC Program, what is something that you typically hear from them about their experience?

Pennington: Prospects, customers and partners are always blown away by our deep technical expertise.  Ultimately they choose Actifio when they meet the people behind the company.

Wheeler: They are impressed at how open and accessible Actifians are to customers. From Executives to developers, everyone is available at the helm to make them successful.

There is a common trend in these answers from these two Actifians. We have a shared goal; work together as one team to make our customers successful.
