Back in November, we first introduced you to the incredible results David Furst and the team at PR Newswire had achieved with our Copy Data Management platform. They realized a 250% ROI, while improving both business agility and resiliency, something we’re seeing a lot of these days from our global user community.
We shared that story with IDC and they decided to interview the PR Newswire team to better understand the challenges they faced, why they chose a solution from Actifio, and the results they’ve seen with the project. The result is this IDC Customer Spotlight Report. We’d encourage you to download it and check it out. It’s a great view of a customer project from a respected third-party analyst.
The report is broken into multiple sections, summaries of which are listed below:
Organization: CNW Group provides simultaneous delivery of news releases, images, video, and other information to media outlets.
Operational Challenge: CNW Group needed a way to tame the volume of extra data generated by copying, storing, moving, and recovering information for backup, recovery, and test/development.
Solution: The company selected a virtual copy data storage solution from Actifio.
Project Duration: CNW Group implemented the Actifio solution in September and plans to migrate from its original backup disk strategy to an Actifio-based snapshot and replication strategy by the end of the year.
Benefits: CNW Group expects to see a 250% ROF in five years. Also, the company reduced its RTO from 1 hour to 15 minutes and eliminated its backup software and storage infrastructure.
So, if you’re struggling with any of the challenges that David and team had around data growth or efficiently protecting your organization’s information, or if you would like to develop better applications, faster, please take a minute to check out this customer spotlight. What the IDC report does better than most case studies is to give you an inside look at the project from start to finish – from evaluation to implementation to usage. We hope you like it and as always look forward to hearing from you with any questions.
